The AwareDoc suite captures data from your EHR and transforms that data into knowledge - knowledge that provides support for clinical and management decision-making. AwareDoc helps reduce the potential for diagnostic and treatment errors, performs real-time infection surveillance, identifies emerging resistant organisms, aids in antibiotic stewardship and minimizes delays in therapy. Additionally, AwareDoc supports your billing efforts and maximizes your opportunity for incentive payments. Patients can be segmented not just by diagnosis but by symptoms, signs or test results to better track demands on your system and to further support bio-surveillance. Core measure tracking and tools for process improvement are also part of AwareDoc.
AwareDoc is the tool to maximize your return on the investment you make every time you enter data into your EHR.
Infection Profiling: AwareDoc Infection Surveillance and Control helps the clinical and infection control staff cut through large amounts of data to be able to identify infections early and optimize treatment across the entire facility including urinary tract, wound, respiratory, and bloodstream infections before they spread. This surveillance system has the ability to automatically review information from the hospital's information system as it becomes available and provides effective identification of infectious agent and helps guide antibiotic choice. Infection Control staff and attending physicians can track lab results in a simple way so that infections can be identified quickly. AwareDoc Infection Surveillance module helps to identify patterns of infection, emerging resistant organisms and organisms clustering on certain facility units in real time allowing physicians and staff to spend less time on administrative tasks and to spend more time on preventing infections – careful monitoring of infections make it possible to provide a safe environment for patients, family and staff. Reporting is available for standard and ad hoc antibiograms and infections are categorized by CDC types.
Diagnostic Profiling: Diagnostic Profiling provides the physician with unmatched power to diagnose based on the clinical features already stored in the hospital information system. This reduces diagnostic or decision errors as well as reduces time spent or costs paid to make a correct diagnosis. The Diagnostic Profiling module gathers symptoms, physical exam findings, lab and radiological values to suggest potential diagnoses for your patients. It then identifies whether a patient is at risk for or definitively has a disease. This can be especially helpful in setting where a patient presents with an unusual cluster of symptoms or has multiple diseases. Over time, Diagnostic Profiling can learn from your data which disease presentations should carry greater weight in making a diagnosis – and present a revised ranking that may be more clinically meaningful. Hospital management teams can take advantage of Diagnostic Profiling to cluster patients (describe your hospital’s “case-mix”) based on both definitive and potential diagnoses for resource and demand planning. Patients with more than one diagnosis (such as pneumonia and chest pain) may represent a distinct group worthy of separate analysis from those patients with a single disease.
Objective-Value Calculations: AwareDoc's Objective-Value Calculation module provides automatically calculated scores as data become available to further diagnose, plan treatment and consider prognoses. Values can be trended to follow treatment progress. Triggers for notification about abnormal values can be set so that the practitioner can stay abreast of the current state of his/her patients to maximize the quality of care and throughput.
Predictive Analysis: Utilizes clinical information available for all members of the population and for subgroups based on patient characteristics such as identified by the Diagnostic Profiling tool to predict future events. This provides for the detection of important trends and patterns for a patient with a specific-condition and brings it to the care provider's attention for further interpretation to reduce the risk of future disease especially through prevention for at-risk patients, begin therapies as quickly as possible and to create patient-centric care for better outcomes.
Clinical Decision Support with Alerts: Our Clinical Decision Support tool provides clinicians the knowledge they need by gathering pertinent data from the existing electronic medical records. This module also helps the physician by offering timely alerts fostering compliance with clinical guidelines, evidence-based practice and regulatory requirements to optimize cost-effectiveness of care and to improve overall care safety. AwareDoc Clinical Decision Support module intelligently alerts clinicians with more speed and precision with the critical information needed at the point-of-care to make clinical decisions. Our decision support system helps physicians to practice better ensuring to adapt quality measures and timely notifications after identification of key events (such as after recognizing a potential pathogen to stop further spread of infectious diseases) in real time. Our Clinical Decision Support tool seamlessly integrates with Diagnostic Profiling and Infection Surveillance modules to send timely alerts and reminders for diagnostic workups, managing infections and to manage medication dosages.
